One held with Saudi currency at Shahjalal Airport

Customs intelligence officials in a drive held a man with 70,000 Saudi Riyal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Sunday night, reports UNB.
The arrested was identified as Ripon Sardar, 42, hailing from Shariatpur.
On information that Ripon was going to Kuala Lumpur with illegally transacted 70,000 Saudi Riyal, a team of the customs intelligence challenged him and recovered the currency from his shoes and bag.
Umme Nahida, assistant director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, confirmed the incident.
