One held with Tk 1.78m foreign currencies at HSIA

One Bangkok-bound passenger was arrested with Tk 1.78 million foreign currencies on Saturday night at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, reports UNB.
Deputy Commissioner (Customs) Ruhul Amin told the news agency that the arrested passenger Anisur Rahman (45) was scheduled to go to Bangkok by an aircraft of Bangkok Airlines at midnight.
When he was entering the departure hall through Gate No-4, presence of foreign currencies was detected when his luggage was scanned at about 8:45 pm. Searching the luggage, va rious foreign currencies, including 20,000 Saudi Riyals, 675,00 UAE Dirhams and 1500 Qatar Riyals were found, DC (Customs) Ruhul Amin said.
