One killed, 1 hurt in Dinajpur grenade blast

DINAJPUR, Jan 13 (BSS): One person was killed and another one seriously injured when a grenade blasted near Shaheed Captain Mahbub cantonment at Khulahati, Parbotipur on Wednesday.
Parbotipur Upazila Chairman Hafijul Islam Pramanik said two young men were playing at Chak Boalia near Parbotipur Khulahati Shaheed Capt Mahbub cantonment in the afternoon.
Suddenly a grenade blasted there leaving Sakil (18), son of Shajhan Ali of Chakmusa village dead on the spot.
Sabbir Hossain (17), son of Khademul Haque of the same village was seriously injured. He was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday for better treatment.
