One killed, 20 hurt in Habiganj clash

HABIGANJ, Mar 12 (BSS): A man was killed and 20 others were injured following a clash over irrigating the paddy field at Sanaboi village under Shaistaganj upazila of the district Tuesday evening.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar thana Mojammel Haque said the clash erupted between two rival groups backed by UK expatriate Sona Miah and USA expatriate Azdu Miah respectively of the village.
During the clash, another USA expatriate Arju Miah, 50, of the same village died on the spot, while 20 persons sustained injuries.
