One killed, 20 injured in Narail clash

Our Correspondent KHULNA, Dec 18: A man was killed and other 20 were injured in a clash between two rival groups over establishing supremacy in the locality at village Mirzapur under Narail Sadar Upazila Saturday. Police arrested seven persons in this connection. Police and local sources said that a quarrel had been continuing for a long time over establishing supremacy in the locality between two rival groups led by current union parishad chairman Emrul Gazi and Anisur Rahman. On Friday, a clash was occurred over the matter between the groups with lethal weapons. At one stage of clash, Omar Ali a supporter of Aims was injured seriously and died on the way to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). Niamul Sheikh (35), Alamgir Sheikh (32) and Shamim Hossain (30) were admitted to KMCH in critical condition. Other injured were in Narail Sadar and Abhoynagar Upazila Health Complex.
