One killed, 65 injured in separate clashes

At least one person was killed and 75 others including 10 policemen were injured in three separate incidents in Jamalpur, Habiganj and Jhenidah Sunday, reports UNB.
Fifteen people, including 10 policemen, were injured in a clash between police and villagers at Jhaudanga in Dewanganj Upazila under Jamalpur district early Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested three criminals - Osman Gani, Rafiqul Islam and Abul Kashem - from the house of Pararamrampur union UP Chairman Insar Ali at about 3.00 am.
Ten policemen, including Sub-inspector (SI) Asaduzzaman Ripon and ASI Shuvra Shaha, injured in the clash were admitted to Dewanganj Upazila Health Complex.
Another report from Habiganj said: More than 50 people were injured in a fierce clash between two rival groups at Majlishpur village in Baniachang Upazila Sunday noon.
Police said the clash started between the supporters of Abdus Salam Londoni and Shahed Ali as a sequel to long standing enmity. Both sides used lethal weapons leaving more than 50 people injured.
Another report from Jhenidah adds: A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a fierce clash between two rival groups at Berbari village in Shailakupa Upazila Sunday.
