One killed by robbers in Cox\\\'s Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, May 23 (UNB): A man was killed and 10 others were injured as robbers opened fire during a robbery incident at Jharjhari under Kolatoli area in the town Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Mansur (50), a tea shop owner of the area.
Mahfuzur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar thana, said a gang of robbers, numbering 10-12, stormed the house of Shafique Ahmed and looted valuables, including cash Tk 10-15 thousand and gold ornaments, after taking the house inmates hostage at gunpoint around 2:30 am.
When the house inmates resisted the robbers, they opened fire on Shafique Ahmed and his wife Mahmuda Begum, leaving them injured.
