One killed in Bandarban landslide

BANBARBAN, Feb 8 (UNB): A man was killed and two others were injured in a landslide while cutting a hill for road construction at Siddiqnagar in Bandarban Pouro area on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Zakaria, 40, a resident of Thanchi upazila.
Police and hospital sources said a large chunk of earth collapsed on the three labourers while cutting the hill in the area around 12pm, leaving Zakaria dead on the spot and two others injured.
On information, police recovered the body.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
