One killed in Meherpur road accident

MEHERPUR, Oct 1 (BSS): A motorcycle rider was killed and another injured in a road accident in Chhatian area on Kushtia-Meherpur highway under Gangni upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was Abdul Haque, 60, of Shimultala village of the upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a Dhaka bound bus hit a motorcycle from opposite direction in the area at about 9 am, leaving two motorcycle riders critically injured. Later, Abdul Haque died on way to Dhaka at about 1 pm.
