One killed in Rajshahi road accident

RAJSHAHI, May 20 (UNB): A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a pickup van on the Rajshahi-Naogaon Highway at Bakshail in Mohonpur upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Kartik Mandal, 36, a resident of Malshira village in Tanor upazila.
On Tuesday morning, Kartik was going to Naogaon for a personal matter riding motorbike.
Witnesses said when he reached Bakshail, a pickup van, coming from the opposite direction hit his vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot around 11:30am.
Later, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Officer-in-charge of Mohonpur Police Station Abdul Hadim confirmed the incident.
