One killed in road mishap in Shariatpur

SHARIATPUR, Aug 25 (UNB): A man was killed when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw plunged into a roadside ditch at Dakkhin Atong under Bhedarganj Upazila Friday morning.
Local sources said the auto-rickshaw skidded-off the road as its driver lost control over the steering at about 9:00 am, leaving its passenger Samsuzzaman critically injured.
Local people rescued him and admitted him to Sadar Hospital but doctors referred him for Dhaka. Samsuzzaman died on the way to Dhaka at about 12:00 pm.
