One killed, looted cash in Shariatpur

SHARIATPUR, Oct 21 (UNB): Robbers killed a teenage boy who was sleeping in a grocery shop at Kashimpur Chourasta under Bhederganj Upazila and looted cash from the shop Friday night.
Sources said shop-owner Maulana Anwar Hossain returned home at about 9:00 pm keeping his nephew Tawhid Mal (14), in the shop.
At dead of night the bandits stormed into the shop, slaughtered Tawhid and looted Tk 22,000 from the cash box.
On Saturday morning when Anwar came to open the shop found Tawhid lying on the floor in a pool of blood and informed the police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
