One killed over land dispute

A man was stabbed to death by his rivals over a land dispute at Patikhali village in Nazirpur Upazila of Pirojpur Monday .The deceased was identified as Jashim Khan.Police said Jashim had a longstanding dispute with Delwar of the village over a boundary of their houses. Saturday, government land surveyor set up pillar to mark the boundary. Delwar with his group opposed the marking and attacked Jashim with sharp weapons, leaving him injured. As the news spread police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of Jashim. - UNB
