One shot dead in city

A contractor was shot dead and one other received injuries when unknown miscreants opened fire on them at Moddhya Badda in the city Wednesday, police said.
Officer-in-Charge of Badda police station Kazi Wazed told the FE that the miscreants shot Nazim Miah (30) and Uzzal (28) at Jomidar Bari roundabout on Badda Link Road at about 12:30pm and fled the scene leaving the victims in a pool of blood.
