One shot dead, six arrested in Barguna

BARGUNA, Feb 14 (BSS): One dacoit was shot dead in gun fight and six others arrested by Amtali police from Gulisakhali village under Amtali Thana of the district Friday midnight.
The dead was identified as Mozammel,45.
Amtali police said, a group of dacoits numbering about 15 to 16 were taking preparation to commit dacoity. On information police raided the area. Sensing the presence of police the dacoits opened fire on police. Police also encounter the dacoits where Mozammel was shot dead on the spot and six others arrested.
