One stop service for hassle -free building design approval assured

Housing and Public Works Minister Mosharraf Hossain assured the members of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) Thursday of opening one stop service to ease the cumbersome process in approving building design and put an end to hassle in this regard.
The minister was holding a meeting with the executive committee members of the REHAB at the conference room of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works (MoHPW) on the day, said a press release.
The REHAB executive committee members headed by its president (in-charge) Md Abdur Rashid submitted a five- point demand to the minister. They urged the minister to consider all the recommendations to resolve the problems the real estate sector now facing.
The five- point demand includes immediate implementation of MoHPW joint committee meeting's decision of December 30, 2013.
They demanded allotment of 1000 acres of land to them at Cox's Bazar sea beach to build an ultra modern and well planned resort.
REHAB members demanded allocation of two bighas of land for REHAB Institution in Uttara Extension Project area that will help produce skilled and trained manpower.
Inclusion of REHAB member in RAJUK B C committee for hassle- free approval of building construction plan is their another demand.
They demanded resolving the problems relating to buildings' height fixation by Civil Aviation authority at old airport and its adjacent areas in the capital.
MoHPW secretary Khondaker Showkat Hossain and RAJUK chairman Nurul Huda were present at the meeting.
REHAB executive committee members Liyakat Ali Bhuyian, general secretary (in-charge) Md Saidul Isman Badal, treasurer Mijanur Rahman Dewan and joint treasurer Ansar Ali among others, attended the meeting.
