One to walk to gallows for killing farmer

A court of Bagerhat Monday sentenced a man to death for killing a farmer in 2003.The convict was identified as Badsha alias Abdul Karim (45), son of Nawab Ali Sheikh of Teligati village in Morelganj Upazila.According to the prosecution, Badsha had locked into an altercation with his neighbour farmer Amin as Amin's goat ate up the leaves of his tree. At one stage, Badsha got furious and chopped Alamin to death with a sharp weapon.After examining the records and witnesses additional district and session court judge pronounced the verdict. -UNB
