Online licensing module launched

The government formally launched on Wednesday Online Licensing Module (OLM) for traders under the Office of Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E).
Commerce minister Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest at the seven-day registration renewal fair-2019 at a city hotel.
Senior secretary of commerce ministry Md Mofizul Islam chaired the event where Chief Controller of CCI&E Pranesh Ranjan Sutradhar and senior officials, among others, were present.
The CCI&E launched the module to provide faster services to the clients for gearing up trade and businesses as well as curb corruption.
The module was launched on December 24, 2018, on a test-run basis.
A Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) source said OLM would help businesspeople, increase trade and facilitate growth.
