Sunday, 28 December 2014

Experts at a function on Friday night said that all-together only 5 per cent kidney patients had their access to treatment in both private and public sectors, said a press release.
Making people aware of this disease timely could prevent 60 per cent of the disease, they added.
The observations came in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the voluntary organisation Kidney Awareness Monitoring and Prevention Society (KAMPS) and the International Child Development Foundation (ICDF) at a city hotel.
The MoU was signed with a view to working together to raise awareness of students of schools and colleges for changing lifestyle and food habit to fight the disease.
Chairman of KAMPS also eminent kidney specialist, Prof Dr MA Samad and Chairman of ICDF, Afroza Begum Happy, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
