Open wrestling meet begins Sunday

The men's and women's 1st open wrestling championship will begin Sunday (September 6) at the National Sports Council Gymnasium in the city, reports BSS.
Organised by Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation, the two-day meet will be held in 16 weight categories of men's and women's division.
The men's weight categories are 57, 61, 66, 70, 86, 97, and 125 kgs while the women's weight categories are 48, 51, 55, 60, 63, 69, 75 and 90 kgs.
Six of men's and six of women's players will be given opportunity to make practice for the upcoming SA Games camp.
In this regard, a press conference was held Thursday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium conference room to give all the details of the meet.
Bangladesh Wrestling Federation General Secretary Tabiur Rahman Palowan and joint secretary Mejbah Uddin Azad were, among others, present on the occasion.
