Opposition Chief Whip's Noakhali house burgled

NOAKHALI, Mar 28 (UNB): Armed robbers looted the village home of Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque at Earpur village in Senbag Upazila early Saturday.
Farruque's nephew Ahad Ansari Titumir, who resides in the house with his family in absence of Farroque, said a gang of 8-10 masked bandits broke into the house at about 3.00 am.
The dacoits then took hostage the inmates at gunpoint and decamped with Tk 0.2 million (2.0 lakh) in cash, 15 tolas of gold ornaments, three mobile phone sets and other valuables.
Senior police officials visited the spot.
