Opposition lawmakers Monday formed human chain on Sangsad Bhaban premises protesting the Prime Minister's 'vindictive' remarks about 'quick disposal' of cases against BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman and his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko, reports UNB.
The human chain that lasted for about half an hour from 11:10 am also demanded the trial of Moeenuddin-Fakhruddin, who 'captured state power unconstitutionally'.
Led by opposition chief whip Zainul Abdin Farroque, the human chain was joined by lawmakers Barkatullah Bulu, Mosharraf Hossain, Joynal Abedin, Barrister Mahbubuddin Khokon, Lutfar Rahman Kajol, Mojahar Ali Prodhan, Rumana Mahmud, Abdul Momin Talukder and Hasina Ahmed of BNP, and Hamidur Rahman Khan Azad of Jamaat-e-Islami.
The opposition chief whip demanded of the government to bring back Moeenuddin-Fakhruddin to the country and put them on trial.
