Oprotiroddhya Bangladesh unveiled to commemorate sacrifice for Liberation War

Oprotiroddhya Bangladesh has been unveiled to commemorate the sacrifice for the great Liberation War at Panchdona Circle on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway under Narsingdi district with the financial assistance of the Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited, says a press release.
Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi district Amrita Baroi unveiled the monument at a simple ceremony.
Member of the board of directors of DBBL Shahabuddin Ahmed, Additional District Magistrate of Narsingdi Md Kazi Nazir Hossain, Prsident of Narsingdi Press Club Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan and the Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank were present in the function.
Narsingdi district administration, freedom fighters and the civil society of the locality have come forward to construct a monument for upholding the significance of the Liberation War among the youths of the country.
The district administration approached the DBBL for financial assistance and the board of directors of the bank appreciated their noble initiative and decided to donate Tk four million (40 lakh) as the total expenditure for constructing the monument. Sculptors Kamruzzaman Sadhin and Esanul Ahsan Khan Mithu have jointly designed the monument.
Educationists, freedom fighters, business personalities, industrialists, physicians, NGO personalities and executives of banks participated in the function.
