FE report
Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) applications are the top choices among Asia Pacific organizations according to the Asia Pacific HCM survey conducted by CedarCrestone, a notable US-based Human Resources consultancy.
CedarCrestone, which has been conducting its insightful, global HR adoption study since 1997, has for the first time, included Asia Pacific organizations in this year's survey.
Over 270 HR respondents from Asia Pacific organizations representing 2 million employees participated in the survey. Participating industries included financial services, communications, retail, manufacturing, media, education and health.
Oracle's HCM software suites comprising Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise and the Oracle E-Business Suite emerged as the top two HCM software choices for leading companies. Companies are relying on Oracle HCM applications to automate HR processes, acquire, manage and retain talent, for employee and manager self service, to gather HR-related business intelligence and for better succession and career planning.
The study showns that financial services, high tech, communications, transport and public utilities were the most significant investors in talent management. Within those industries recruitment, compensation and performance management were all consistently linked with the highest revenue growth companies.
According to the survey, Indian organizations are early adopters of talent management applications and Indian companies are among the leaders in the Asia Pacific region in adopting an integrated approach to talent management.
Organizations in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong are focusing on basic process improvement using technology and rolling out learning management and performance management systems leading to better evaluations and development of their workforce, the study added.
It also showed that organisations in Australia, especially midsize organizations, are spending a large part of their HR man-hours to manage and retain top talents.
