Organic biofertiliser project goes into operation

Carew and Company (Bd) Ltd started the country's first organic biofertiliser project using sugar mills' raw material, a press release said.
The project worth Tk 46.86 million is expected to be completed by June 2011 with an annual production capacity of 9,000 metric tonnes.
The project will benefit the agriculture sector and will also encourage the entrepreneurs to invest in agro-based projects, Ranjit Kumar Bishwas, chairman of Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation said while inaugurating the project on Friday.
The government will provide the fund, the release added.
