Osman Ershad Faiz joins Dhaka Bank as MD & CEO

Osman Ershad Faiz has joined Dhaka Bank as its managing director and chief executive officer (MD & CEO) on Sunday.
Faiz brings more than 30 years of international banking experience, having held senior leadership roles across global financial institutions, according to a press statement.
Prior to joining Dhaka Bank, Faiz served as additional managing director and chief operating officer (AMD & COO) at Eastern Bank, a role he assumed in January 2025. Prior to that, he was the co-founder of Asia FiiT, an international banking and fintech advisory firm headquartered in Singapore.

Faiz has held several high-profile global positions, including chief information & operating officer (CIOO) of AMTD Digital and managing director & chief operating officer of Standard Chartered Bank Singapore. He also served as managing director & chief information officer (Wholesale Banking, Eastern Hemisphere) at Standard Chartered Bank and spent five years as a director of the Singapore Clearing House Association, reads the statements.
Faiz received the "Legend" Award at the World CIO 200 Summit 2023. He has also been featured multiple times in the HERoes Global Role Model lists, supported by INvolve, the Financial Times and Yahoo Finance, for his advocacy of women in business. Since 2015, he has been a fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), Singapore.
