Osmani Medical College students mugged

Some miscreants swooped on two students of Osmani Medical College in Sylhet city on Thursday night and beat them, leaving them injured. The criminals also mugged their valuables. Sources said a gang of three miscreants riding a motorbike intercepted a rickshaw carrying the two medical students – Nusrat and Nuzhat – at Mirer Maidan near Sylhet Police Lines while they were returning home from Osmani Medical College and Hospital (OMCH) around 8:00pm. The miscreants also hit them with the butt of revolvers and knives and snatched away valuables, including cash, mobile phone sets and purses, from their possession, according to a news agency.
