Our coronaviras preparedness

Since the outbreak of novel coronavirus in China almost four months ago, the situation has deteriorated elsewhere as it has turned into a global issue now. Neighbouring India has also identified coronavirus cases, leaving alarm bells for Bangladesh.
There is no scope to be complacent about the situation although Bangladesh is yet to confirm any coro9navirus case. Surveillance has to be strengthened at airports and border points so that any infectious person can be identified, stopped and treated in a quarantined atmosphere. The government needs to ready human resources and supplies if case there is an outbreak of coronavirus.
