Outgoing CJ Karim gives a farewell call on President

Outgoing Chief Justice (CJ) Mohammad Fazlul Karim Wednesday gave a farewell call on President M Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban on the last day of his office, reports BSS.
During the meeting, the President lauded the role of the outgoing Chief Justice in taking effective steps for quick disposal of pending cases in the courts.
Justice Karim apprised the President that he had taken various positive steps in reducing the number of pending cases in the High Court as well as ensuring the rule of law during his tenure.
Referring to nearly 0.35 million pending cases in the Supreme Court, he laid emphasis on increasing efficiency and willpower of the judges in disposing of the outstanding cases.
