Outgoing US envoy to meet Khaleda Wednesday

Outgoing US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena will make a farewell call on BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia Wednesday evening.
The meeting will be held at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan residence around 5:30pm, her media wing member Shamsuddin Didar told UNB.
Mozena, who has been serving in Bangladesh since May 2011, is set to leave Bangladesh this month as Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat is going to succeed him.
Earlier Monday, he also paid a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid.
BNP sources said issues like the country’s latest political situation, January-5 elections, US’ stance on the polls and Sheikh Hasina-led government, and possible snap polls and bilateral interests of the two countries are likely to come up at the meeting for discussions.
