Outlaw activist killed in Tangail

TANGAIL, Nov 16 (UNB): An activist of an outlawed party was killed following internal conflict at Beel Muril Guchhu village in Sadar upazila in Tangail Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Mobarak Hossain, 40, activist of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Lal-Potaka) of Dalan Shibpur village in Sadar upazila. Quoting his wife Rizia, Soeb Uddin Ahmed, second officer of Sadar Model Thana said Mobarak was missing since he went out from his house after taking meal on Tuesday evening. Local people found the slaughtered body of Mobarak lying in a high land in the area at around 11pm and informed police. Police later recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for postmortem. Two sharp weapons were recovered from beside the body. Police suspected that Mobarak was killed following internal conflict with the members of his gang.
