Outlaw killed in shootout in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Aug 25 (UNB): A leader of an outlawed party was killed in a shootout with police at Gorapara village under Mirpur Upazila Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman (38), son of late Abu Taiyub of Gorapara village and also regional commander of Purba Banglar Communist Party (ML-Lal Pataka).
Police said they received an information that Anisur was staying at a house of an expatriate in the village. Acting on the tip-off, police cordoned off the house at about 6pm today.
