Outlaw slaughtered in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Apr 2 (UNB): An alleged activist of an outlawed party was killed near Dublakunda Bridge under Harinakunda Upazila and his bloodstained body was recovered by police Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam alias Heba (30), son of Abul Hossain of Daulatpur village under same Upazila. Police, quoting his family sources, said Shahidul went out of his home Wednesday and since then he remained missing.
Locals spotted his body near his house. On information police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
According to police, Shahidul was a listed criminal and was associated with the banned Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Janojuddha). He could have been killed the previous night due to intra-party rivalries, police suspect.
