Outsourcing emerging as promising sector

Outsourcing can create employment opportunities for a large number of people as it is emerging as a promising sector, said speakers.
They think the sector will be best one for earning foreign currency like RMG sector after a few years as many young talented people are taking the outsourcing job for their main source of income.
Addressing a seminar on 'freelance outsourcing,' they underscored the need for more training and skill development programme to increase the number of the freelancers.
Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) organised the seminar at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre Tuesday where five-daylong ICT-based exhibition on 'BCS ICT World' is going on with the slogan of 'Digital education is the base of digital Bangladesh.'
Adviser to the Prime Minister HT Imam was the chief guest in the seminar with president of BCS Mostafa Jabbar in the chair.
HT Imam said the country will turn into a middle income country soon if we work unitedly.
He urged the entrepreneurs to do the job from other districts in addition to Dhaka.
The adviser gave assurance to the organisers that he will take initiative for making a fund of Tk 100 million in order to help young entrepreneurs.
President of American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Aftabul Islam and Internet Service Providers Association Bangladesh (ISPAB) president Akhteruzzaman Manju were present as special guests in the event.
Consultant of Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology Munir Hasan presented keynote paper on freelance outsourcing. In his paper he explained how a person could be involved in outsourcing and what is needed for it.
Mr Munir thinks those who have technical, communication and bargaining skills can engage themselves in outsourcing profession.
Software, website programming, graphic design, data entry and writing are available works that have been done through outsourcing, he mentioned.
The freelancers can easily collect their bills through cheques, payoneer debit cards and money bookers, he added.
