Pabna railway staff axed for leasing rly land

PABNA, Mar 19: A railway official was suspended in connection of issuing a false lease to a piece of railway land. Railway Pakshey Divisional Estate Office (DEO) issued the suspension order on Tuesday, DEO sources said.
The victim ABM Rahimullah, office assistant of Pakshey Divisional Estate Office issued a lease order of 28 decimal railway land in Ranigram Mouja of Sirajganj district illegally.
"He made the lease order to a woman in Sirajganj with false signature of estate officer. When the lease holder tried to grab the land, railway authority restricted them. An inquiry committee formed to investigate into the incident." Moshtak Ahmed, DEO, Pakshey said.
After investigation Rahimullah was found guilty and was suspended from his post temporarily, according to inquiry report, the DEO said.
