Pabna road accident kills biker

ISHWARDI, Pabna, Aug 27 (BSS): A motorcyclist was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorbike in Post Office crossing of the district town on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, 50, son of Maqbul Hossain, a resident of Hazrihat Bhavanipur Pashmipara village under Lalpur upazila of the district. He was a laborer of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP).
The accident occurred in the area around 7.30 am when he was going to Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) project riding a motorcycle, said sub-inspector (SI) of Ishwardi Police Station Julhas.
Saiful Islam died on the spot. The injured were taken to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex.
Later, one of them was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment, the SI said.
