Padma Bridge opens to traffic in 2018: Quader

MUNSHIGANJ, May 15: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said on Friday the construction of Padma Bridge would complete by 2018. "The bridge would be opened for traffic in that year (2018) too," he said after visiting the Padma Bridge site at Mawa. The minister said the Padma Bridge construction cost increased slightly because of fluctuation in the dollar price, river bank protection and construction of ferry terminal connecting roads.
