Pak govt appoints MTI for nat'l export project

MTI Consulting, in a landmark achievement, has out performed some of the big international consultancies to win the pitch for one of the major initiatives of the Government of Pakistan under auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, in their endeavor to reform the national export strategy, structure and processes.
The 24 month organizational development project agreement between the Pakistan Government and MTI Consulting was signed at the Governor's House in Karachi - with President Musharraf, Provincial Governors, Key Cabinet Member and Leading CEOs in attendance.
Speaking at the launch of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (formerly Export Promotion Board), President Musharraf highlighted the impressive achievement of the Pakistan Government in the last 6 years - in terms of Export and Foreign Direct Investments, which have been a major contributor to the significant increase of the Pakistan GDP and the classification of Pakistan as a mid-income country.
The Minister of State and Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Mr. Tariq Iqram  (former Chief Executive of Reckitts) outlined the strategic, structural and legislative reforms being made by the Government of  Pakistan in their endeavor to make further quantum leaps in Pakistan's export performance.
"We are delighted by our win at this highly competitive pitch - competing alongside the big international names" said MTI's Country Manager for Pakistan Mr. Dhanushka Jayakody who took the lead for the entire pitch process.  In a communiqué from the MTI Head Quarters the CEO Hilmy Cader complemented the efforts of the MTI Pakistan Team - Dhanushka Jayakody and Samir Azmat in particular.
