TORONTO, Jun 27 (PTI): Pakistan has suggested Commerce Secretary-level talks with India for engaging each other on issues hampering bilateral trade.
Official sources said the suggestion for talks was made during a meeting between Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir earlier this week.
India has already accorded 'Most Favoured Nation' status to Pakistan in trade but Islamabad is yet to reciprocate.
India has suggested that Pakistan should give a 'negative' list so that the two countries can concentrate on items on which the two countries can trade with each other.
