Pakistan wants broad-based ties with Bangladesh, says envoy

CHITTAGONG, July 26 (BSS): Pakistan High Commissioner in Bangladesh Alamgir Babar Saturday said his country wanted a broad-based relationship with Bangladesh for the welfare of people at the two countries.

"We believe in partnership in different prospective fields for the welfare of people of both sides" Alamgir Babar said this while speaking at a function to hand over computers and other logistics support to Chittagong Press Club Institute of Technology here Saturday.

Alamgir Babar donated 10 computers, adequate number of printers and furniture to Chittagong Press Club for establishing the institute.

Chittagong Press Club president Ali Abbas presided over the function while its general secretary Ejaj Yousufee and joint secretary Khorshed Alam, Chittagong Union of Journalists general secretary Nazimuddin Shayamol, journalist M Nasirul Haq and Fairway Automobiles chairman Jharka Banu were also present, among others, at the function.
