Pakistani held with Rs 5m at Shahjalal

Customs officials at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport arrested a Pakistani national along with 5 million Indian Rupee on Sunday. The arrestee was identified as Abdur Rahim, 34, a citizen of Pakistan. Assistant Commissioner Customs Ishrat Jahan said Rahim came to Dhaka on Tuesday from Pakistan and he went to the airport again on Saturday night in search of his lost luggage. After getting the luggage when he was crossing the green channel customs officials challenged him and scanned his luggage and detected presence of the Indian currency. Costumes officials found the currency consignment after searching the luggage. He was handed over to Airport Police Station, according to UNB.
