Palencia scores twice as Pumas beat Queretaro

MEXICO CITY, Apr 18: Francisco Palencia scored twice and assisted on a third goal to help UNAM Pumas defeat Queretaro 3-0 to stay atop the Mexican Clausura championship. Palencia scored in the 10th and 19th minutes before setting up Dante Lopez's goal in the 44th. "This team wants to keep winning," Palencia said. "We have the talent and the right attitude." Pumas has already secured a berth in the end-of-season playoffs used in Mexico to decide the league champion in each half-season tournament. Pumas tops the standings with 32 points, followed by Tigres at 29 and Morelia at 28. - AP
