Palli Bidyut employee slaughtered in Benapole

Unidentified miscreants slaughtered an employee of Palli Bidyut Samity office in Benapole union of Sharsha upazila of Jessore on Wednesday night. The dead is Masud Hossain, 45, the driver of Jhikargacha Palli Bidyut Samity office. Police recovered his throat-slit body from Benapole-Jessore Highway in Malanchi area of Benapole at night. Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge Emdad Hossain said Masud got down from his vehicle near an abandoned hosiery factory in the area around 9:00pm after getting someone’s call on the cell phone while he along with his colleague was going to Jessore town. Getting no response, his colleague with the help of locals entered the factory and found the body of Masud with the throat slashed and informed police. Police sent the body to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed, according to UNB.
