Panel for recovering 343 illegally occupied Gulistan shops

Parliamentary Standing Committee on Liberation War Affairs has recommended to recover 343 shops of Gulistan Complex from illegal occupants. The meeting of the committee with chairman AB Tajul Islam in the chair, was attended, by Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Hoque, Iqbalur Rahim, M Afsarul Amin, Nurunnabi Chowdhury and Golam Dastagir Gazi. The meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban recommended to allocate shops on the basis of existing market price through agreements. It also discussed about management of Bangladesh Mukijoddha Welfare Trust under the ministry, its assets and properties and working plan. A 3-member sub-committee led by Nurunnabi Chowdhury was formed to work for recovering the illegally occupied properties of the trust. The other members of the sub-committee are Ashek Ullah and Swapon Bhattacharya, according to an official release.
