Parag shares 2nd slot in 2nd Int'l Open GM Chess

Fide Master Mehdi Hasan Parag shares the 2nd slot in the 2nd SCS International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament with 30 other players securing 2.5 points after the 3rd round matches in Bubaneswar, Orissa (India) Sunday night, reports UNB.
Seven other Bangladeshi players - GM Enamul Hossain Razib, FM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar, Debaraj Chatterjee, Abdullah Al Saif, Hafizul Islam Chapal and FM Mohammad Javed - earned 1½ points each.
Mohammad Kawsar Ali Eti, Mokaddes Hossain and Touhidur Rahman Toffee bagged one points each.
In the 3rd round matches Sunday night, Parag drew with IM Satyapragyan Swayangsu of India, Sagar drew with GM Luther Thomas of Germany, Razib lost to IM Rahul Sangma of India, Javed lost to GM Ovetchkin Roman of Russia, Shakil beat M. Ashraf of India, Debaraj beat Bharadwaj Akshay of India, Saif beat Dalai Khitindra Prateem of India, Chapal beat Tripathy Sunil of India, Ety lost to Abhishek Das of India.
