Parbatipur-Chilahati rly section in bad shape

NILPHAMARI, Nov 8: Out of nine railway stations in Parbatipur-Chilahati railway section there are only four station masters in syedpur, Nilphamari, Domar and Chilahati stations but there none in the rest five railway stations.
While station master of Nilphamari railway station Abul Kashem is in charge of four stations such as Belaichandy, Darwandi, Nilphamari and Mirjagong, there is no station master in college station and Khairat Nagar stations.
Sources said there is only one local train in the section named Khulna 27 up/ 28 down run by LR Co. Barishal. There are 3 intercity trains named Borendra and Nilsagar run up to Nilphamari and Titumir inter city train run up to Chilahati. Shortage of local and intercity trains create problems for the passengers in the region and they demanded more local and intercity trains to be introduced in this section.
