Parliament on Thursday plunged into a pandemonium for a while over a heated debate on Bangladesh Liberation Force (BLF) and the role of JSD during 1972-1975. The House suddenly turned overheated when JSD MP Mainuddin Khan Badal took the floor on a point of order and started talking about Jatiya Party MP Kazi Firoz Rashid’s statement against the JSD role after the Liberation War. During a private member resolution, Kazi Firoz Rashid came down heavily on JSD for its, what he said, destructive politics that left thousands of freedom fighters and Awami League, Juba League and Chhatra League men dead. Badal while opposing Firoz’s remarks about JSD faced a severe opposition from a number of treasury bench and JP members, according to a news agency.
