Parliament session: rallies, carrying firearms banned

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned carrying of all kinds of firearms, explosives and other harmful objects around the parliament building from Monday night, a spokesman said. DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed said on Sunday ban has been imposed also on procession, rally and demonstration in the areas to ensure security during the second session of the 10th parliament. The session will begin on Tuesday. The restrictions will be effective until the parliament session ends, according to a news agency.
