Parliamentary team leaves for Ethiopia

A 10-member parliamentary delegation left Dhaka Saturday morning for Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to attend 120th Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) general assembly, reports UNB.
The six-day assembly will begin in Addis Ababa from Sunday, said a Jatiya Sangsad press release.
Deputy Speaker Shawkat Ali will lead the delegation during the tour. The other members of the team are ABM Abul Kashem, Mostafa Faruq Mohammad, Hasanul Haque Inu, M Abdul Hye, Mojubul Huq, M Nurul Islam Sujan, Begum Habibun Nahar, M Amzad Hossain and Tanvir Shakil Joy.
Mahbuba Ara Gini, MP, and Begum Rumana Mahmud, MP, are accompanying the delegation as advisers, Additional Secretary Pranab Chakravarty as secretary of the team and M Abu Al Helal and M Tariq Mahmud as officials.
The delegation is expected to return home on April 12.
