Dr Shamsul Alam, former state minister of the planning ministry, was present as chief guest at a conference on Thursday, organised jointly by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (IC1AB), Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). Participants at the event discussed the significance of professional integrity in financial reporting for ensuring sustainable development goals (SDG) and good governance in organisations.
